About this deal

Korg's own iElectribe and iMS20 apps sport a 'nano 2 native' mode, which will assign the controls appropriately when you plug in a nanoPad. Just be sure to disable this if you want your custom mapping to remain! I am a bit worried about the sturdiness. It's good to lay the pads flat on the table. I feel like if they're uneven, the whole thing bends when you hit the middle pads.

If any part of this Agreement is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable then such part shall be severed from the remainder of this Agreement which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law. Comment: After configuring the Korg NanoKontrol2, I ran into one issue where my main MIDI keyboard was not triggering any notes in Cubase, even though the MIDI activity meter was responding in Cubase. What I did to fix this was the following: The sixteen velocity-sensitive pads provide excellent response to your fingertips, and also realistically convey the playing feel to your sequencer or DAW software, ensuring that your drum parts will be full of life. By switching between the four scenes, you can experience 64 different pad assignments. There are four bank select buttons, making a total of 64 'virtual' pads. With each able to trigger up to four notes at once (ie, chords), the nanoPad has melodic potential aplenty. Editor's choice

This library does not provide owner’s manuals and product information for all of the products sold by the Company. Owner’s manuals or product information may not be available for all products indefinitely or at all, and may be permanently discontinued at the Company’s discretion. If Third Party Software has been supplied (whether in conjunction with any Korg instrument or equipment, or as a stand-alone product) a notice to that effect will be contained with or on the disk supplied and in such circumstances Korg shall be deemed to be acting as the agent only of the supplier of such Third Party Software. This guide is intended to help others easily configure the Korg NanoKontrol 2 to work with Cubase (Windows 10). Configuration in other DAW may be similar. At this time, this guide is not for custom assigning buttons or faders to other special actions or controls such as modulation, expression, other control changes (CC), notes, etc. Nothing in this agreement shall affect the statutory rights of any person dealing with Korg as a consumer. The Korg NanoPad2 is a compact, slimline MIDI controller that comes equipped with 16 dynamic performance pads that are velocity-sensitive, as well as an X/Y touchpad and, is highly-portable making it a great companion for traveling musicians and music producers. The compact design is feature-filled with four banks of pad assignments giving you excellent versatility and makes it perfect for both studio and on-stage applications.

Supported Computer: Apple Macintosh with USB port, satisfying the operating requirements of Mac OS X or Apple Macintosh with PowerPC supported I'm curious, if you enable the Input/Output Activity meter in the bottom editor transport bar in Cubase, does the left meter respond when you move a knob/fader on your NanoKontrol? See the attached screenshot - I moved a knob on the NanoKontrol and the response is the blue bar. Contents of owner’s manuals and content as found on korg.com may differ. Information on korg.com may be updated as necessary based on changes to the product specification, operating system, included contents, and so on. Additionally, owner’s manuals may be updated to reflect these and other changes with updated production of the product. On the nanoPad, each pad can send four notes, CCs or program changes, as opposed to the original's eight. Per-pad options to determine whether a pad is included when using the gated modes. The X/Y pad can also be assigned as you like, although this is now global and not per scene. The X-Y pad can be used to control multiple synthesizer parameters. In addition, the new "Touch Scale" function lets you intuitively play phrases on the X-Y touchpad, just as on the Kaossilator. You can choose from sixteen different scales, and specify the root key and note range to ensure that your performance stays within your song. The "Gate Arp" function, borrowed from the Kaossilator Pro, transmits note data based on tempo; Tap tempo and tempo sync are supported. Combined with the Touch Scale, the Gate Arp allows you to play tempo-synchronized phrases and rhythms simply by stroking the X-Y pad or playing the pads.

When I was setting the NanoKontrol up initially (the wrong way), it was responding to input on the meter but wasn't doing anything to the actual program. After setting it up properly, I also get the activity on the meter but now it functions as it should. If supplied in conjunction with any Korg instrument or equipment, such Third Party Software shall only relate to the non-essential functions of such instrument or equipment.
